A new slimline electric water heater installation in Balmain.
We were recently called to a customer’s unit in Balmain whose 15-year-old electric hot water system had begun leaking. Naturally, she was concerned about potential water damage and the risk of flooding her apartment and possibly the one below.
When we arrived, we discovered that the existing hot water tank was installed in a very narrow cupboard, leaving almost no room to manoeuvre. Removing the old system required some careful planning.
To create enough space, we temporarily removed part of the door frame and cupboard door, ensuring everything stayed intact and damage-free.
Once the old, leaking unit was safely out, we prepared the area for the new water heater installation.
New Rinnai 250L slimline electric hot water system installation
For this job, we supplied and installed a Rinnai 250-litre slimline electric hot water system. Its compact, vertical design made it the perfect fit for the tight space, while still providing plenty of hot water for the customer’s daily needs.
Once installed, we reattached the door frame and cupboard door, leaving everything neat, secure and fully operational. The customer was delighted to have reliable hot water again, and no more stress about leaks.
She will also notice lower energy bills, as modern water heaters are far more efficient than older units, thanks to advances in insulation, thermostats and heating technology over the past 15 years.
Slimline (or compact) water heaters are perfect for units, townhouses and smaller homes where space is limited. They’re designed to fit neatly into cupboards, laundries or narrow outdoor enclosures without sacrificing performance.
Modern slimline systems offer:
- A tall, narrow design that fits where standard tanks can’t
- Reliable, consistent hot water for daily household use
- Improved energy efficiency and faster recovery times
- Long-lasting materials built for Sydney’s climate
- Easy replacement options for older systems
